  • Beans are evil!!!!

I'm trying to detox my lifestyle from artificial sweeteners and other dangerous everyday surprises. I was instructed to use only natural sugar and then gradually wean myself from sugar. I was told to eat leafy greens and fruit, and walk often.

  • fruit, low-fat yogurt, granola bars, salad w/ croutons and spray dressing (1cal per spray), anything that is portion-controlled- 1 serving size only!.... each with either a glass of water (best choice!) or crystal light.

  • veggies & dip; low fat string cheese; cottage cheese with a little fruit; a few whole grain crackers with a slice of hard cheese; slice of deli meat, small bit of salad dressing rolled up in lettuce leaves; a handful of nuts...

Eating the empty calories (no nutrition) of the 100 calorie snacks may satisfy your sweet tooth or craving for salty foods but all you're doing is putting a filler in your body. Why not eat something with some nutrition, protein or fiber?

  • Low fat string cheese
    7-10 natural almonds
2 stalks celery with 1 wedge of Laughing Cow Cheese spread, yummy
    4 oz. of veg. juice

    For your sweet tooth:
1/2 cup dry kiddie cereal LOL
    100 calorie snack packs
1/2 bar of milky way mint
    1 York peppermint pattie
    sugar free hard candies
Jello snack cups (sugar free tastes pretty good, but the reg. kind doesn't have too many calories. Plus they only cost like $1 for 4 cups!)
1/4 cup dark choc. chips (the best!!)
    cup of hot chocolate
    cup of herbal tea

  • Why are beans evil?

Anyway, typical snacks at our house: yogurt, frozen blueberries, raw veggies and hummus, apples, kiwi, etc.

    Drink lots of water!
