  • i have a friend who had a husband that hid money, and then he died. she found money taped to the backs of wall switches, in ziploc baggies buried in her plants, taped to the walls of AC vents, stuffed in suitcase pockets, in the pockets of winter coats.
and....i have a friend who hid money from her husband who frequently had affairs. she hid money everywhere until she had enough to leave him. her favorite hiding spot was in picture frames behind the photos of the kids.
take the day off and look everywhere girl, the money is probably right there under your nose

the above statement is not true in most states

if he has opened up an account in his name while you have been married or deposited money in to the account while you are married then in most states that account is joint property and must be disclosed in a divorce so that money will be split. if the money is in an account that is in someone elses name then it will be very hard to prove that it is your soon to be exs money. Just because an account cant be touched by a spouse because their name isnt on it dosnt mean that it is safe in a divorce situation.

if he is stashing cash leave nothing unturned including cans in the pantry we have a can of a comon used kitchen staple that we keep our emergency cash stash in.
