Anyone have a recipe for homemade leave in conditioner/detangler?

I have long cruly very thick hair so I use alot of product. It can get pricy.. I'd like to make my own leave in conditioner/detangler.. Does anyone have a tried and true recipe?

  • I think I remember hearing people say something like mayo or egg. No recipies come to mind though...oh, avocado, but that's too expensive, right?

  • After washing and rinse out conditioner, towel dry then while hair is wet. . . use a sprayer and add. . .extra virgin olive oil, wrap in a towel for 3 - 5 minutes, then use a wide toothed comb or large plastic bristle brush.
    Over the counter product I found useful for my daughter's wavy tangled tresses is from
    Namaste Laboratories "Organic Root Stimulator"
    Available at any store from Walgreens, Target, Walmart, etc:)

  • my daughter has curly hair and is very tender headed .I was told fabric softner would help detangle so i started adding a spoonfull in a pitcher of final rince water it helped alot
