  • xy is male chromosome (y = causing it to be male), xx are female chromosome (us females are gifted with no y's).   I've always wondered if somebody wanted to create a dooms day type thing what'd happen if a genetic disease were created to extenquish all "y" chromosome.  We couldn't live off of the sperm banks and cloning forever since you can't or shouldn't do clones of clones, think I saw something like that either in a book or movie.

  • XY I think is female and XX is male, I'm not really sure. LOL But I learned it in sex-ed that the male controls what the sex is going to be if the sperm is XY then it's a girl, if the sperm is XX then it's a male. I think!! LOL

  • XX is female and XY is male. These are the gender chromosomes. The sperm decides the sex of the fetus.
