What does this mean?

This may be a dumb question, but I've been applying for jobs and when it asks if you are willing to travel and at what percentage, what does that mean? Like usually I have choices of choosing 1-25%, 25-50%, 50-75% & 75-100%.

  • Perhaps it means how much of your work time are you willing for it to be travel time. For example, if you are game for being gone half a year, it would be 50%. If you'd be willing at most one day a week, it would be less than 25%. If you would be fine with being on the road all the time, it would be up to 100%. I could be wrong.

  • 1% is you never want to travel,,100% means you can or want to travel all the time. And the % in between is is just how much your'e willing to travel between 1% and 100%

  • They want to know how much business travel you are willing to do. None, 25% of the time (a week a month), etc.
