What age should you start...?

What age should you start to let a lil one practice with a spoon to teach them to use a spoon by themselves?

  • I le tmy daughter start a little before one...we got her the gerber spoons that are soft with a large bowl and have a lip so things don't just fall off/out, and I let her go to town with some yogurt (applesauce is another good one).

    It is a long, messy process to teach your kiddo to self feed with silverware...just be prepared to give a bath afterward, lol

  • My daughter is 6mos and I let her mess around with the spoon because shes constantly trying to grab it.
