  • almond milk for my son and cow's milk for mine. DS is allergic to milk (not BFing). We only use milk in baking and cereal though, not for drinking. It isn't needed and the body doesn't even absorb the calcium well. There are much better, easier absorbed, sources of calcium.

  • My kids are weird like me and like their cereal dry. I think it comes from their early dairy intolerance. They were slow to take to dairy products once they no longer made them reflux.

  • Nothing. Cereal's just a snack she eats dry. I occasionally have it with milk, but I don't take dairy well.

  • Well I am against cow's milk until they are 2 years old and wouldn't give them cereal with milk until then anyway. At that age the gut is capable of handling the cow's milk and they get a little milk whenever they want (usually not more then about 6 ounces every other day).

  • The body absorbs calcium just fine if it is receiving a balanced diet with the other nutrients needed.
