  • No, Mary was just a blessed vessel used to bring God into the world as a human. Mary Magdalene is considered to be the first Evangelist because she went to tell the news of Jesus being resurrected

  • No she's not a prophet. But she's much more than just a vessel - she's the mother of Jesus Christ. She's the New Eve - where Eve said 'no' to God's will, Mary said 'yes' (See "How Can You Say That Mary Is the New Eve?")   She is the ark of the New Covenant - carrying the Word of God (See "Mary, Ark of the New Covenant")  See the article "Mary in the Bible" for charts highlighting how Mary can be seen as the new Eve and the Ark of the New Covenant.

  • no....she was given a gift. like many ppl, some of us are given gifts thru somethign divine and she in my eyes...was given the greatest and the most difficult gift. to be a mother is a precious, precious gift in itself...to be a mother to jesus..come on. but to see your child endure that.....how she had the strength to not kill herself after i have no idea.

  • Mary was a very special woman of faith, or God wouldn't have chosen her to be the mother of Jesus. She had to have a special deep faith to be willing to serve in that way.
So saint? no more than any other believer
Co-redeemer? she sinned like any other human
Virgin? tell that to James, Jesus brother
    Role model- definately
