I try to read but he does NOT show any interrest??

Is that normal ?? Am i using the wrong books?? Any tips? What kind of books should I use? How do I get him to pay attantion??

  • He is pretty young yet. Just keep reading. Set your timer for 10 minutes. If you can keep his interest for that long you are doing really really good. :) Are you reading board books? That is what I would try at this age. :)

  • I know they say to start reading at 6 months, but I don't think most kids are interested in doing anything but chewing on the books until they are at least over a year old. At least not my kids! My 19 month old has really gotten into books, but even so she doesn't have much patience for them and flips through pages much faster than I can read.

  • You aren't doing anything wrong. Just keep reading. Try books with very simple, bright pictures. Try Sandra Boynton.
