  • The weight of a blanket brings comfort and can help her sleep better.

  • A lot of times people sleep better in warm rooms that have fresh air. Maybe she likes to be warm from the neck down! lol

  • I don't think this is a gender thing at all. My husband used to do this ALL the time. We'd seriously fight over the AC. I grew up in the heat on the beach, he grew up in the snow in the huge mountains. So yeah, we have different opinions of a good medium. But he would always turn up the AC and then take the blankets from me in the middle of the night! Maybe you should say, mom, I've noticed that you do this, and it makes my electricity bill go up a lot, perhaps we can compromise? She may not even notice she does it! Hope it helps.

  • I do this too. I need to be "covered" to sleep, but if it's summer or too hot then that's not comfortable either.
