  • keep vaseline on it with gauze so that it doesn't stick to the diaper. change it when he urinates. not much else you can do.

  • The first question you need to answer is which way you had the circ done. Is it a plastibell or a traditional gauze wrapped?

  • You can generally give a baby baby tylenol but check with your Dr to be sure. Keep the baby clean. Always put plenty of vaseline on the gauge. Change the gauze at every diaper change. Be very gentle if you have to touch the area. Circumsisions tend to heal fairly fast (a few days to a week).

  • Do NOT medicate him... just do the vaseline and gauze. It will heal in a little over a week! I know it looks really red and painful to you, but as long as you keep it clean, don't touch it & keep the gauze on top so it doesn't rub on the diaper, he probably doesn't notice it.
