When do soft spots on their heads go away?

My son is 7 months and I can't remember when my daughters went away.

  • I've read that it can take up to two years for some babies' to go away. Seem a little old to me, but that's what I've read.

  • They close slowly. It seems that my daughter's pediatrician stopped checking them at around a year-give or take.

  • yep it can take up to 2yr for it to completely go away

  • my son is two now, and still has a little bit of a spot. i thought it was supposed to be gone by 1yr, but my son did have a larger head, so that might have something to do with how fast or slow it closes.

  • My dd is 7 months and her's was closed at her last doc apt. about a week and a half ago. I guess they just close at different rates..?
