  • Yes! It can. Many breastfeeding women don't get their period, or have strange periods during breastfeeding. I also have been breastfeeding my son for 7 months now and have only gotten my period once... don't worry, you are fine!!

But don't fall under the misconception that you can't get pregnant at this time. Many people believe that because of the hormones while breastfeeding, or even because you don't have your cycle, that you can't get pregnant - but you actually can!

  • I breastfed my son until last week, he is sixteen months old. I am now four months pregnant and never had a period return after my son. You still ovulate, my new baby proves that lol. But not necessarily get a period.

  • Me? I was actually going to wean my son so I could have another baby. Then I discovered you don't need to! So I was very excited that I could get pregnant and continue breastfeeding my son. I am done with breastfeeding for now tho. lol. Until this baby gets here, then I got another year and a half or so to go. lol.
