UGH! Anyone have ideas to get Desitin out of the carpet??

So my adorable 9 month old son figured out how to open the cap on the Desitin tube today. WHOOPS! He was covered from head to toe in Desitin, clapping and laughing and smearing it EVERYWHERE! lol. I got it cleaned up from everywhere except the carpet...that is tough stuff! I've tried a rag and cleaner, even tried the spot bot. Any other ideas mommies? Thanks!

Good luck! Remember to blot and not rub when trying to "lift" the stain out of the carpet. Furious rubbing will only grind the cream further in the carpet.

    Good luck!

  • Yeah, I would say dish soap or shampoo. You want something designed to break up oil.

  • I keep a large bottle of proxide all the time to remove stains and clean any fabric. It will take even red kool aid stains off of clothing and carpet. I also use it to clean my sofa and chair arms. Try it.
