Can a 19 month old get "walking pneumonia"?

Or will it just present as regular pneumonia at that age?

  • Of course a child can get it. Even if he can't walk.
"Walking pneumonia" is just a milder form. So mild that most people just keep telling themselves "It's just a cold, I'll get better soon". Only they don't get better soon, they just keep staying the same - not quite right but certain they'll be magically right in a few days.

  • Of course they can. My daughter had it when she was 18 months. They only reason I knew she had it is because the doc heard it on a regular check up. she did not even have any symptoms.
