Hotel Tax

If a hotel room is $70 a night how much will it come out too with tax?

  • Plan on 20% (just in case) and then if it's less you have a safety net, so that $70 hotel room would be $84. You might also need to consider parking costs (if you're traveling to a big city) and any other mandatory fees the hotel might charge.

  • depends on the state you could look up the state revenue tax in the midwest so its between 7.5 to 8% tax depending on the state.

  • It all depends on the city and state. I once stayed in a hotel that charged almost 13% with all the different taxes they assessed.

  • a room I rented was $69.99 and I had to end up paying $105 Or why dont you call the place your trying to stay at and see how much it will be.

  • some places have a local tax. It usuall will tell you on the hotels web site! they are all different!
