  • I don't think the heartrate shows up at 7 weeks. I think it's 10 weeks.

  • I had one at 9 weeks and its very irregular at that time. But if I remember correctly it was in the 140s and she was a girl. Later, when they did the dopler, hers stayed in the 150s.

  • my dr told me with the right equipment it will detect it. i thought the same thing as you when i miscarried twice. they could not find a fetal pole at 7 weeks so they were alarmed cuz apparently their equipment was sensitive enough to detect it. sure enough i miscarried 1 and 3 week later

  • You wouldn't be able to tell the gender of the baby at 9 weeks. But with my DD, her heartrate was 150. My son's was 147.

  • I was 8 weeks, the heartbeat was 162 bpm, and it's a girl - at least the second ultrasound said as much, we'll find out for sure late August/early September.

Also, it was a vaginal ultrasound not the one on the belly - just in case you might not be expecting that.

  • Yeah I was just going to warn you any U/S before 15 weeks is vaginal. So make sure your trimmed up lol
