Whitehouse mispells President's name in Russia-US document. Simple oversight? Or an example of an administration not dotting their i's and crossing their t's?

In a release touting an agreement between Obama and President Dmitry Medvedev over how to craft a follow-up to the START arms reduction treaty, the White House claimed the document had been signed by one "Barak Obama."

  • It could have been a simple oversight.

But that doesn't stop the trend that the whole administration seems to be having difficulties with interacting with other dignitaries, from Hillary asking who painted an image of Mary which was believed to have miraculously appeared, to Obama giving a half blind prime minister DVDs that won't even work on the DVD players of his home country.

I think they either are not paying close enough attention to their cultural advisors, or they need to hire new ones.

  • When there is 2 countries involved ,mistakes happen. Are you saying US just printed the papers and went to Russia to sign?
I don't think so. Both sides were involved .

  • It's not an oversight, it's ineptitude. Spell check at the WH, doesn't correct the President's name? They must have been too busy shopping in London with Michellle or partying in moscow to pay attention to the important stuff. Vodka and caviar causes misreadings and mispellings.
What kind of gift did the idiot take to Putin and Medvedev this time? An Obamopoly game for those long winter nights in Moscow? You all know he did!!!
