  • If she is crafty she might like some of the ideas here http://www.cjkidz.com/Summerfun.html.  Also hopscotch, jump ropes, science experiments shown on the link.

You can also look through the themes (which have gifts) http://www.cjkidz.com/Birthday%20Resource%20Page.html  DressUp/Tea set, Princess stuff

Princess pillowcase, suprise soap, diary http://www.cjkidz.com/coolstuff.html

If she is into sports check here http://www.cjkidz.com/sports.html

  • We always give boardgames or a great classic book for my daughters classmates if there is not a specific wishlist.

  • We are a bit more electronic around here. We get a gift card for the video game store (Ds lite, Wii, PS3) that way she can pick out a game that she doesn't have yet.
Or, if she plays on the computer i get a webkinz (at walmart) a virtual pet online to play games and take care of.
Or, you can always make a basket with cute stuff like a slumber party. Throw blanket, nail polish, hannah montana hair brush, cute Pj's, etc. You get the idea.

  • My middle daughter is turning 7 this year. She's into Barbies/Bratz, Littlest Pet Shop, Polly Pocket (although I nixed these because the girls kept breaking or losing all the clothes so they were a waste for us). She got a Build a Bear last year and collects stuffed dogs so we always get her one of those. Actually anything that is a dog is a good gift for her.
For Kindergarten graduation she got a Tomagotchi (those electronic pets...I had one in college, long story, and my oldest got one for her 8th birthday). She loves that thing.

  • You could probably do jewelry. My daughter is 5 and she is already showing an interest in jewelry.

  • I went to a place like Michael's art supply place and got a 7 yr old girl some temporary tattoos that you could color in! That was a huge hit! She loved it, she shared them, and the girlscolored each other's tattoos in and the mom loved it cause it wasn't messy and it was totally removable in the bath tub!

  • Backpack full of school supplies. Both on pretty inexpensive right now. Webkinz, sunglasses and beach towel w/ a basket and sunscreen would be cute too.

  • Books or giftcard to some place like Barnes and Noble. Most kids have enough toys, but in my opinion can never have enough books. The DK eyewitness books are great. Or you can go with a couple of books in a series.
