is it possible to be too clean?

my 2 1/2 year old is given a bath 2 times a day-every day. he gets one when he wakes up to start his day and is given one at bed time to get the filth of the day off. i was wondering if its possible or a bad thing to be too clean?

  • other than cutting back on all the bathes, would it help if i applied lotion after every bath instead of only after one bath?

  • If you don't use soap for both baths and pat him dry, and mosturize you shouldn't have a problem.. Sometimes I give my daughter a couple baths a day or she showers with me and baths at night to wash off the filth of the day.

  • he sweats alot at night when he sleeps-i mean to the point he leaves a sweat imprint of his body on the bed....i have never seen another child sweat like this. and thats with a fan blowing, during the winter, with only a sheet covering him-im not exaggerating-its bad! it just seems gross to me. lol

  • Don't forget that bathing a lot removes the good bacteria making the skin a great spot for bad bacteria.
