We would like a girl

My husband and I want another child we currently have a 2 year old son, and well we would very much like to have a girl. Just wondering if there are any positions or anything you can do to better your chances of having a girl. By no means am I saying I wouldn't want a boy in the end the only thing that matters is having a healthy baby, but why we are trying to get pregnant it might be fun to try for a girl. any suggestions?

  • to my knowledge its all old wives tales but perhaps if you "hoped" for a boy you would get a girl? I hoped for a girl and I got a boy and he is the light of my life ;)

  • I haven't tried any of it and am not currently TTC. But I bookmarked these for future reference so we can have another girl.

  • Well they say girl sperm lives longer, so "try" a couple of days before your fertile days. Sperm can live up to 7 days inside you.

  • There are no ways to decide whether or not you have a boy or a girl. The makeup is already there soon as the sperm reaches the egg, positions aren't going to make any difference. Neither is timing.

  • well if u are about to ov in like 3 days thats the best time that way the male sperm die off and hte female are left they swim slower then the male sperm and maybe not so deep peneration when he cums......try and see what happens lol

  • google shettles method
there are certain foods to avoid or eat

  • Shettles works for some, not for others. Didn't work here. Don't know of any positions.

It's a roll of the dice and really...50-50 unless you go to a lab and get DH's sperm separated and you artificially inseminated. If you can find a lab to do it, that could cost a mint.

  • It's luck of the draw. Actually, it depends on the combination of his and your chromosomes but there is no way you can control this in the bedroom.

  • The shettle's method ups your chances and it worked both times for us (boy then girl using shettle's). You can also eat certain foods to change the PH of your vagina to kill off the boy sperm (or girl depending) quicker.
