  • I'm Christian, raised in a Baptist church. We do not believe in drinking alcohol (we even use grape juice for communion). I know that isn't a food but there are major calories in alcohol so I thought I would throw it out there. Good luck!

I do get asked if I'm Jewish alot when people ask me why I don't eat pig.. I'm not Jewish..
and I don't know why I don't eat pig.. I grew up on a farm.. helped kill a few chickens for dinner, and rabbit once... but going to a pig roast bothered me... and I haven't ate pig since. lol.

  • No, God dealt with that issue with Peter in Acts. Peter was Jewish and followed all the Jewish dietary laws. God showed Peter all sorts of animals and told him to rise up, kill and eat. Peter said no, I have never eaten anything unclean. God told Peter not to call anything He had created unclean. Acts 10:9-16.

As far as alcohol, God says not to be drunk, the Bible does not forbid drinking. However, I know this is an issue that divides Christians so at a party I'm just not gonna have alcohol around. It's not worth making an issue of.
