Help dogs got skunked and rubbed it into the blankets!

Ok so my son's puppy decided to play fetch with a skunk two nights ago. Needless to say the skunk sprayed the heck out of all 3 dogs involved and they ran into our trailer to rub their faces all over our blankets. I have washed the blankets and the smell came out mostly but there is still a faint odor. How do I get rid of it?

  • I know tomatos will get the smell off the animals... As for the covers I'd try a lot of tomato juice... Soak them and then wash with Dawn Dishliquid and reqular detergent... That's the only way I know of getting rid of skunk smell

  • Tomato juice. My uncle had to take his German Shepard to the vet to get the skunk smell out, NOTHING worked.
