What's your birth plan as far as pain?

Epidural?
Lamaze?
Bradley?
Hypnobirthing?

What's your plan and are you "practicing" your technic yet? (If not epidural).

  • I am requesting an epidural. I had one with my last delivery and everything went great.

  • I had an epideral with both of my girls. They both quit working about an hour before delivery, but it was nice to have relief for part of the time instead of being in pain all day!!

  • I had an epidural the first time around... And although it didn't kick in until after DS was born, I plan on using an epidural this time around also... I also had Nobaine (sp?) through an IV too

  • 2nd natural birth for me. Probably Lamaze, but I may look into the Bradley method. Haven't decided yet but I'm only 11 weeks along so I have time.

  • I used Hypnobirthing and a doula with DS. I made it through with out drugs. I did a lot of mental preparation. Most important was letting go of the notion that birth must be painful.

  • I'm going to try hynobirthing this time, but I have nothing against the epidural because it worked great with my last baby (still felt the need to push, felt the baby come out, and my dd was born alert and ready to nurse) but she came so quick (less than 7 hours) that I thought I'd try natural this time.
