Never ending no money cycle!!!

We are stuck in this cycle! I don't know what to do. IT just keeps getting worse. We got rid of all our extras. No cable, no internet. Just Rent, car insurance, electric, car payment and cell phone bills. But we can't seem to get them paid with all he set backs. We had to get a $10,000 loan from a friend because immigration decided to open DH's case up again!!! The only reason we had DD was because we thought we were in the clear and I could stay home. But life happened and I have been loking for work since, with no luck!
Because of this, we were unable to pay some bills. Cell phones and insurence didn't get paid. Then we got an insurance audit from DMV! Had to pay $700. Still haven't been able to pay car insurance and we just got another audit!!!
How do we get out of this? If we can get to the point where we get caught up, we will be ok. But that never hapens!!! I don't know what to do. Any advice?

  • There are some ways to cut back on grocery expenses. Don't buy paper towels or napkins. Drink only water. Don't buy meat; use dried beans and lentils instead. Shop every 8 days; before you shop, plan all of your meals and snacks for the next 8 days. Base your grocery list on what you need to prepare the meals. Cook from scratch. Have breakfast for dinner one or two nights a week. If you need some recipes or meal ideas, please contact me.
If your husband is here on an h1b, his employer should be dealing with the INS

  • I already cut back on groceries. I seriously can spend $25 a week on food.
DH is a green card holder. He can here on a visitors visa. He works for his friends and they take advantage of him. He works 90 hours a week and his salary is only $1000 (which is Nothing for all he does!)

  • I was at that point to. just couldn't win & couldn't get ahead. I made it through until tax time & got a big refund, (love my two little tax deductions, lol). I was able to pay off alot then. You may have to cut back more though until then. When I was prego w/my son, my daughter & I moved in with a friend so I was paying much less for rent & saving up for my maternity leave. Maybe you have family or friends that could help you out in that way?

  • Hello! I am a SAHM with a 22 month old son and I am currently working for Internet CEO Moms. We are a HUGE team of moms that are committed in making safer and healthier homes. We all have children so we know where each one of us are coming from and it's such a positive experience. I can only speak for myself but I am LOVING it!! I am currently trying to pay off a bunch of bills and this is a good way to get a little extra money to do just that. I understand about it never ending. My husband got laid off in December of 08', found a job in February, I got laid off in April, then he got laid of AGAIN in June!! It's just a never ending cycle it seems but if you are committed to paying all debt off, I think this would be a GREAT way for you to do it!! If you want to know more, check my website out at or email me at I hope to hear from you soon! :-)
