  • My 4 year old still needs a nap, and thankfully gets it on most days.

  • my daughter **JUST** turned 3 and her nap is not optional. if for whatever reason she isn't home in her bed she'll sleep wherever at the same time car seat, couch, grandmas floor, etc. My son is 4 1/2 and he needs a nap about 3 or 4 days a month... from really REALLY busy mornings only

  • My gs, who will be 3 in August, still gets a nap most days. I have him during the week while his mom works, and I did skip naps a couple days this week and by the time his mom picked him up at 6:30 he was so cranky! So I do know he still needs a nap. My oldest dd, who is now 26, took naps until she was in first grade. Every kid is different, but I need them to take a nap as much as they need it. It's my break time! LOL With you having three so close together I'd keep up the naps as long as possible. My DIL still makes her dd who is 4 have a rest time, makes her lay down each day for about an hour even if she doesn't sleep, my dil says she herself needs this time.

  • My son is 4 and still needs a nap most days. I dont see anything wrong with letting them nap if they need it. My son just gets unruly without a nap.

  • My 4 year old son and my 6 year old daughter still need naps!! They still take their naps every afternoon. Every once in a while I let my 6 year old go without, but by evening I am paying dearly for it. She also sleep walks on the nights that she is overly tired. She went to full day kindergarten last school year and when we got home at 2:15, it was off to nap. I would never let them sleep past 4pm, they just need a little rest to get them through the evening.

  • my two year still naps most days. some days I have to lay with him before he will fall asleep but most days I just tell him to stay on his bed and when I check on him he's asleep. there are some days where he just can't fall asleep buthe still gets an hour of "rest time" where he has to stay quiet on his bed with no toys, maybe a book or two if I don't feel like fighting him... but like I said most days he still sleeps.

  • Mine (so far) pretty much gave up naps at 3. But there are times (when we're busy) when he still needs one. But it's not a consistent thing. My 2 year old is starting to fight naps. them up now is NOT an option for that one!!! ugh.

  • My son will be 4 in about 3 months(wow scary thought!) and he still takes naps most days. My mom made me take naps up until I graduated kindergarten. My son doesn't always sleep, sometimes he reads a book or watches a movie, but unless we are having a big day away from home, he either takes a nap or has ''quiet time''. At nap time I tell my two boys it is time to pickup toys cause it is nap time, we have a snack and i put them to bed. If my 3y old says, ''mommy I'm not tired.'' I let him read a book or watch a movie other wise I tell him he has to sleep.
