the best way to cook food to make baby food?

I am just starting to make it and I see many moms say steam, but steaming releases alot of the nutriets, so I am confused. Microwaving keeps the most vitamins and nutrients, but what about just boiling them? that seems to be the quickest way to cook it in bulk but want to do whats best for my son.

  • If I remember correctly, boiling takes out more nutrients (the water soluble nutrients) than steaming although if you add the liquid from the boiling back in... maybe that would work. I boiled mine though to make it soft, mainly. I added very little salt to meats and none to vegetables. For meats I poached or roasted them.
