Anyone got any cool unique ideas to replace the unity candle ceremony during a wedding? We have already thought of sand, anymore ideas?

My brother is getting married and they were trying to think of an even more unique idea than sand.

Anybody seen anything cool?

  • The sand idea is really cool to see...IDK, maybe it was the wording that the paster said when the couple was pouring the was beautiful...

  • Not sure the colors for the wedding theme but - two vases of water; one colored blue; and the other red - mixed into another vase to create purple - showing the 'blending' of their lives...

Test the water coloring before hand to make sure you get purple and not mud brown - and then after the wedding it would need to be stored in a vacuum sealed jar/container (mason jar is one option-ie:canning) -- or perhaps there is a place that could seal it in something prettier; I'm not sure about that part; but I don't think you could just leave it in a regular jar for long...

Another option would be those glass pebbles they use in floral arrangements; you could get those in two colors that actually match the wedding theme and then mix them in a pretty vase that the couple could display on their mantle/shelf; etc

Congrats to the happy couple! =D

  • I think the sand idea is the coolest because you can put it in a pretty jar, close it up, and keep it aorund forever.
