Question for overweight mom's

Is there a point where you acutally felt pregnant instead of just really really fat. I have what i call my "hangy" in the front, but when i look in the mirror i wish i could just feel pregnant instead of really fat. I know i'm overweight, but at what point will i start to look pregnant and not just fat? or won't i?

  • Well, I'm considered "obese" for my petiteness but if you look at me, I don't have big rolls or anything. I'm just a thick girl. Before my pregnancy I was 153 lbs (@ 5'3") and now I'm 186 lbs. I was already showing at 5 months and now since I'm 38 weeks I am showing a whole lot more. I feel soo damn huge, ugly and fat as hell. My self-esteem has dropped significantly but I will NOT stay unhappy and do something after the baby. I want to get back to my normal shape because I don't want to be jealous and unhappy. I'm eating everything now: pizza, burger, ice cream but all of that WILL change. Don't care about when u will look preg. Just worry about ur baby being healthy. Shame on u if u r unhappy later because u didn't do anything about it.

  • I'm 21 weeks and i can see that my belly has gotten bigger

Even though im overweight my stomach was never really that big and I've felt pregnant since the beginning lol feeling and looking pregnant are two different things because i don't look pregnant to a person that didn't know me before but i feel pregnant cause of the frequent gas and trips to the bathroom...however I can't really feel the flutters people say i should be feeling by now due to being overweight and this being my first pregnancy

  • I started off pretty big, & was sometimes asked how far along I was before I was even pregnant. I still look at myself in the mirror & just see fat, but my stomach is also noticeably larger (I am 24weeks) yet still has that flap of fat hanging off of it. I felt more pregnant recently when I could feel baby moving & kicking externally, that helped a lot. Also, I found that if I stand & look at myself sideways & then lift my fat (sounds weird & kinda gross I know) but then I would see an actual bump...that helped me as well. Though I do hope I start to have a less noticeable flap soon LOL. Good luck mama!

  • I never felt like I looked pregnant. People who worked with me had to be told right up until I stopped working. Meanwhile others thought I was preggers around my seventh month.

  • I am considered overweight for my height, but I didn't have a belly or anything before i got prego. It was relatively flat (just not a small person, I guess). Now at 14 weeks hubby and I can see a big difference, but really no one else notices unless I am in a bathing suit. but I am with the pp's who said that they feel fat. I feel like a total cow. none of my clothes fit right, my jeans are so uncomfortable, and I have acne for the first time ever to boot. The funny part? I actually weigh LESS than before I conceived. But to me, I look like I weigh 30 pounds more. I will be so glad when it actually looks like the baby belly instead of like I have been eating 8,000 calories a day

  • I am a week shy of 7 months and I look pregnant. I am about 280 now (gained 3 pounds) and 5 foot 10. People still aren't brave enough to ask if I am pregnant though.
