What to do with strawberries?

I bought sliced strawberries for my DS's breakfast but they are packed in syrup, I thought they were just the strawberries. Any ideas on what to do with them now?

  • You could try rinsing them off with hot water in a strainer. When I get canned fruit for my 1 YO I always make sure to rinse them off really well. It gets rid of the sugar syrup they were canned in.

  • These are frozen, not canned. Not sure if that matters.

  • If you want just the strawberries, rinse them off and get the syrup off them (it will also defrost them)...then put in a bowl and top with whipped cream!

  • My MIL buys those all the time and we use them on pound cake or on top of ice cream. They're really sweet and probalby really really bad for you, but they're sooo good! :)

  • You could always put them on waffles or pancakes for breakfast (sorry I missed the point of the question the first time!).

  • Put them on pancakes, waffles or french toast. Put on ice cream with whip cream. They are yummy on pound or anglefood cake.
