Why was this information suppressed by the MSM?

Okay, maybe it wasn't suppressed, but it certainly wasn't discussed openly....I wonder why that is/was?

Could it be because Clinton was the darling of the MSM when this information was known, and by the time the report came out, GW Bush was not the "favored" president?

How does omitting critical pieces of information that affected the lives of 3000 innocent civilians and lead to the destruction of a president's public perception and approval ratings, actually benefit the public at large? How can the MSM turn a blind eye and yet call themselves journalists?

I can only imagine how much more we are going to learn about the GW Bush administration that is going to change the leftist view of the president they loved to hate?

  • Hijacker Chats Years Before 9/11 Detailed

Posted on: Wednesday, 23 July 2003, 06:00 CDT

The government intercepted conversations by early 1999 indicating that two Sept. 11 hijackers-to-be were connected to a suspected al-Qaida facility in the Middle East, but the National Security Agency did not pass on the information to other agencies, a congressional report on intelligence failures says.

The NSA interception was the first evidence in American possession that eventual hijackers Khalid al-Mihdhar and Nawaf al-Hazmi were connected to each other and to al-Qaida, but some of that information was not brought to the attention of other agencies until early 2002 after Congress began investigating pre-Sept. 11 failures, according to excerpts of the report that is to be released Thursday.

The Associated Press obtained excerpts from officials who had read it after it was declassified.

  • This was chatter when Oklahoma went down. It probably takes that long to go through old bulletin boards and emails, even after we were clipping along at 144000 bps with windoze 3.1 in 95 lol!

  • August memo received by the Bush Administration BIN LADEN DETERMINED TO ATTACK US. Shift the blame all you want.

can you provide the specific details of said attack? You know the where and when this "determined" attack was to have taken place, or are you just ASSuming because it happened a month later that Bush and his administration had the psychic ability to look to the immediate future?!

WHY DIDN'T CLINTON PUT A STOP TO IT!??!?! Deflect the fact that CLINTON DROPPED THE BALL on this one....2-3 YEARS before it happened.

So if we get attacked by North Korea or Iran, in the next 3 1/2 years are you going to blame Bush or Obama? What about if/when we get attacked less than a year AFTER Obama is out of office?! Will it STILL be Bush's fault or will Obama actually take the blame for it?! Or will you just blame the current administration since you KNOW they will be REPUBLICANS!!!!!

  • Highlights of the report include:

    • An intelligence report received in May 2001 indicating that al Qaeda was trying to send operatives to the United States through Canada to carry out an attack using explosives. That information had been passed on to intelligence and law enforcement agencies.

    • An allegation that al Qaeda had been considering ways to hijack American planes to win the release of operatives who had been arrested in 1998 and 1999.

    • An allegation that bin Laden was set on striking the United States as early as 1997 and through early 2001.

    • Intelligence suggesting that suspected al Qaeda operatives were traveling to and from the United States, were U.S. citizens, and may have had a support network in the country.

    • A report that at least 70 FBI investigations were under way in 2001 regarding possible al Qaeda cells/terrorist-related operations in the United States.
