What is the "three day method" in potty training? My DD is 29 months and were trying to work on training so the potty questions are my focus and I keep seeing the "three day method". Can anyone explain that?

  • I asked the same question and was directed to a website. I will let you in on what I found: The three day method is basically just that. You take three days and do nothing but concentrate on training. It says it works better for kids under the age of two but my 3 1/2 year old little man just did it!
Have the child help you throw away all of the diapers, pull-ups etc...You CANNOT use this stuff again, it messes up the whole program. (supposedly-I have used them because my little one is still afraid to poop in the potty all the time) Then just sit and watch. When child starts to go you run them to the potty all the while saying Yay you used the potty! Also you are to be giving the child lots of juice and favorite snacks that will hopefully produce some #2. Talk it up! My little man loved the fact that he got to wear big boy Transformer underwear.
If this doesn't help, just google three day potty training. Good luck!
