How long should my trip be?

I am going from the East Coast to West Coast with my 12 month old, to visit a sick relative (and possibly spend time with other relatives), but I don't want to stay for a whole week, My baby is on a pretty consistent routine, and I'm already dreading how to handle the time zone changes (as far as her sleep schedule goes).

Do you think it's silly to only spend 3 nights with my family? What I mean is, is it silly to spend money for plane tickets, go 3000 miles across the country, then only stay for a few nights?

  • I think you should go for a week-- especially if you are not able to see your family that often.

  • You will be so tired you will need the extra time to rest. Take a week.
