What is a shotgunned resume?

A job I want to apply for says that shotgunned resumes will not be accepted. What does that mean?

  • From resumes.com the definition of a shot gun resume:

The shotgun approach meant, however, that his resume was excessively wordy, tipping the scale at three pages

  • Never heard of it. Hazarding a guess, I would say one of 2 things: either one that is very hastily put together (like a shotgun wedding), or one that has the little bullet points to describe your experience, jobs, etc. Those would be my best guesses as to what it means.

  • Oh, interesting I would have thought that it meant a resume with holes in it. (long durations of unemployment). I was just guessing though.
