  • 1. Get ready to never sleep again....untill they move out in 18+ years.

    2. As far as babies go, don't waste your money on the Diaper Genie, I guarantee that when you have the messiest of diapers that diaper genie refill will end and you won't have a refill. They are a waste of time and too expensive. Use the Diaper Champ, that uses regular ole garbage bags or just toss them into odor bags and put in the regular trash can

  • if it works you want it i guess..... some ppl have a high tolerance for pain, i did get an epidural but it didn't work & i came out okay with very little pain, don't let ppl scare you into thinking that having a baby is the worst pain ever, b/c for some it's not

i agree with mom2jack04, the diaper genie is a waste of money

  • If you are bottle feeding don't use the cheep dollar bottles they will give the baby bad gas and keep you both up playtex vent air are great or Dr Browns work great trust me bottles make a difference Good Luck

  • lets see, i never had enough onesies, buying new clothes is "nice" but they grow so fast its not really worth it. dont try to give an infant a set schedule your wreck your brain for no reason, they'll eat sleep and poop when they want!! however you can start a night time "routine"...playtex drop in bottles were better for me because theyre not hard to wash, and you throw the inserts away! much easier.>>>Take what you can from the hospital. this was my favorite advice that i got. You pay for it anyway, when they bring your kid around theres food and diapers on the cart, have someone take it off your cart and put it in your car everytime!! By the time i left the hospital my son had enough formula for a week and diapers for 2...it was GREAT!!!
And above all else, listen to your instincts..you are MOM and YOU KNOW what you want for your kids!!!

  • Stay calm. Remember that everything passes and waking up in the middle of the night will be a memory soon. Don't listen too much to what others say do things the way that feels right to you... breastfeeding or bottle feeding, baby in crib or co sleeping.. on and on everyone has their own opinion just find what works for you and your baby. Most of all a happy mom makes for a happy baby! oh And take lots of pictures.

  • Even through the lack of sleep and stress of having a brand new baby, take the time to enjoy the baby and try to remember everything. When people tell you they grow fast it's the truth! Take pictures, smell him, cuddle him, and love every single minute!
