  • I have a savings, we don't put money into it, are bank does that thing when you spend money the change goes into the savings. Within 2 weeks we had about $60, right now it's at a good amount(great amount) and it took about 1 year and we're still going. We do have savings for our children that we put into every month, we don't ever look at how much is in there because it's for their college.

  • Yes, several different accounts. For the kids collages, vaction/christmas fund, emergency fund/house fund. You have to save, exspecialy in this economy credit just is not that easy to come by and more expensive.

  • I have about $9,000 excluding retirement, my husband's putnam account and the prepaid for my daughter. I have been saving for as long as I can remember and without having worked a day in my life, I had $1,000. But over the years with buying a house, improvements, etc. the amount in savings fluctuates. We're about to go on vacation and have to pay my daughters $1,000 doctor bill. So we'll be down to $7,000 before we start saving up again.
