  • Yes and no. Burning is not normal, it *could* be a UTI. Swollen is normal. Treat the UTI with 100% cranberry juice and LOTS of water and UVA USI herbal tea. For the swelling 3 cups of Nettle Herbal Tea.

  • I dont agree with the PP. As it is true that cranberry juice helps, it also depends on how bad the UTI is. If it is bad enough you NEED and antibiotic. A UTI can cause you to go into premature labor if it is not treated properly. PLUS unless YOUR doctor tells you to take herbs, it is stated by every doctor I have been to and every pregnancy book and magazine I have read that you should NOT take herbs, not even herbal teas! They are NOT FDA approved and they dont know if they are bad for the baby or not.

  • Go to the dr. A UTI is nothing to play around with, especially when pregnant. Cranberry juice will not cure it or really even help it. I am prone to UTI's and know this from experience. Also, be careful with herbs because some can be very dangerous when you are pregnant. DO NOT take anything before you talk to your dr.
