How long after a D&C should a woman wait before trying to concieve again?

Very curious on this, doctor told me that I was back to normal (no problems with the D&C or anything in my reproductive system when I went a couple of weeks ago) but I would LOVE to hear from some other ladies who have gone through this! Please share any and all thoughts with me! Thanks a million!

  • I was told rto wait 6 months before we start TTC. a D&C is major surgery so your insides need to heal just like if you did just have a baby. The scrap your insides so they need time to heal. I was also preggo with twins when I had my D&C.

  • I think u should wait 6 months 2 a year and a d&c stands for dilation and cutturage, its a abortion prcedure but d&c is the professional way 2 say it. And strawberry wait at least 6 months to a year. Let ur body heal!

  • I had a miscarriage and had to have a D&C, the doctor told me to wait 3 months or at least 3 periods to start trying again. Right after my 3rd period I started trying and got pregnant right away with a healthy baby girl. Sorry for your loss and Good Luck on trying again.

  • I had a D&C yesterday at 10 weeks exactly. The baby passed away at 6.5 weeks.
My doc told me I could start trying again after my first cycle. But we are not going to prevent anything from here on out. I heard you are more fertile after a miscarriage or a D&C. Good luck.
