Glad you are such a great mind reader. That's awesome for you.

I personally like. Still, it is the job of the Republicans on the Judicial committee to grill her and I think they're doing a good job. They're certainly not giving her a pass. I think it's also the job of the Dems to grill her, but their too busy rubbing her feet and writing her inspirational story in their Hello Kitty diaries.

She'll get confirmed, she'll replace Justice Souter - the most liberal judge on the bench - and very little will change. Please relax a little.

  • Who cares she is going to get confirmed whether we like it or not. I personally don't like her.

As expected, “empathy” has been invoked again and again in today’s confirmation hearing of Sonia Sotomayor for the Supreme Court.

Republicans repeatedly said it can color a judge’s vision and distort the law. Democrats have countered that empathy and life experience make for a more informed judge. The latest to sound that theme was the last senator to speak before a lunch break, Richard J. Durbin of Illinois.

  • HUH? Please explain a little more.

WASHINGTON (CNN) — A Republican member of the Senate Judiciary Committee said Monday that Sonia Sotomayor is likely to be confirmed as the first Hispanic justice on the U.S. Supreme Court.

"Unless you have a complete meltdown, you're going to get confirmed," Sen. Lindsey Graham of South Carolina said in his opening statement at the confirmation hearing for Sotomayor, a federal appellate judge.

  • Are you surprised that Sen. Graham said that? He is a republican, the minority in the Congress. She basically already has the votes to be the next Supreme judge but if she would meltdown, then it might turn it around and she not be confirmed.

It is funny to see her controdict her own words and you can just watch her body language and see she is just telling them what they want to hear.

  • The U.S. is already up shit creek without a paddle, so why not kick a hole in the boat too.

She's getting confirmed and there is nothing we can do about it.
