HP or Dell?

I want to buy a 17 inch laptop to use for internet funstuffs and writing, but I'm lost as to what I ought to be purchasing. Who likes what out there?

  • HP. Dell is a shitty company with poor tech support and bad morals and ethics when it comes to their own products.
You can get people in the US or Canada for HP's tech support.

  • I have a Mac Mini, so I would probably go with one of the Mac laptops. If I went with a regular laptop, I would get whatever my husband said to get because he's the computer geek.

  • I've had both and I won't do HP again. Dell would be my choice. (And both were a 17 inch laptop.)

  • How did you get in my head and know I also needed the answer to this? I need a laptop for when I take that road trip to go swimming at your house...;)

  • Do not get an ASUS, they are crap. I have owned 2 HP's and have loved them. I am currently looking into a Dell but will probably end up getting another HP. It's kind of touch and go really, everyone has different experiences with every product. What kind of computer do you have now?

  • Wait, I don't know about ASUS, I was thinking about Acer. But I have never heard of ASUS, so that might tell you something too.
