  • For something VERY extreme where the point has to be made immediately to correct dangerous behavior then a light spanking is acceptable. As the only form of punishment or as the first form of punishment, absolutely not. I have a friend who spanks her children for everything, and not only is it not affective (after all.. where do you go from there if they don't listen?), but it also makes the child nervous all the time!

  • Spanking is real...so yes I believe "in it", lol.

Anyways, yes I spank my children when they need one. We don't go overboard and certainly don't make a habit out of it.

  • I don't support spanking at all, for anyone for any reason.

  • I believe spanking should be one of the last resorts; I never had to spank my 1st child but when my 2nd one came around nothing else would get her attention. I found out know though that spanking her is and does not fase her at all any more so we don't spank her we do other stuff now.

  • Yes, that is what is wrong with the kids these days. People have turned spanking around into a form of abuse making parents scared to do it. My DD rarely acts up because she knows she will get popped if she doesn't behave!
