Is it ok to lie to your kids? How could they be effected by that?

  • no its not ok..they're your children if they cant trust you then who can they trust....now if its a lie for their own good like....tellin a 2 yr old a cake loaded with sugar is icky...is understandable lol

  • Its not ok to lie but sm things r fine like telling them ur pet goldfish went somewhere else rather then actually dieing! U also have to consider their age when explaining things to them like I am going to wait until its the right time to explain to my DD why my mother & I have not spoken now 6 yrs & how my adopted parents became my adopted parents. I think timing is everything sometimes.

  • I just lied to my son right now! eek! He ran in and asked if he could have some money for the ice cream man and I said I didn't have any.
