  • I have a 5 year old boy who is starting this fall as well. I always get the boys' clothes at Gap, Target, The Children's Place, Gymboree, Old Navy, and Target, The Children's Place and Old Navy are fairly reasonable but I always shop the great sales and take advantage of all the special offers like discounts and free shipping when I can at the more expensive places. Sign up for e-mails at all of them becasu they all give discounts and specials regularly. Have fun & good luck!

  • I used to shop at Shopko... cause their baby clothes are cute... but Ive always had to buy smaller sizes there! I hate buying clothes at walmart... I like Target, but my daughters sizes dont have much of a variety!!! Ive never shopped at Macys, gap or babies r us! I will have to check them out! Thanks!

  • They have to wear uniform here. My daughter is starting Pre-school. I found a bunch of uniforms that are stain resistant at JCPenny. So all her stuff came from there except her shoes we havent gotten them yet.

  • One of the cutest places I have found, espically for girls, is The Childrens Place... adorable!! If you join their mailing list you can get coupons all the time. Have fun shopping!!!

  • I agree with last post. We use Childrens Place, Gap, Old Navy alot!!! Email list is a must too.
As far as dress code, yes!!
No flip flops, only sandels with backs
no spaghetti strap shirts or low cut
skirt and shorts come within 2 inches from knee
no earrings for boys/ only studs for girls
no bad or suggestive words on shirts
no low riding/ hanging to low pants
most of it is common sence for saftey or non sexual reasons.

  • If the price is not much of an option (usually when I want to get them something special) I go to Gymboree but for regular school stuff I would shop at old navy, childrens place or Target . My dd goes to a parocial school and they have a pretty uniform dress code. I am buying her some stuff at Lands End (catalog). Back to school clothes are not really exciting in our house due to this. When my dd was in kindergarden we had lots of fun w/clothes-I really think childrens place is the best for cute and trendy but old navy is great for the prices. Hope you girls have fun shopping!

  • My 11yr old goes to a uniform school - so her school shirts will actually be purchased thru the school and her bottoms, anywhere I can find green bottoms.

Now, my 4yr old will start Pre-K and her clothes will come from various of places like Gap Kids, Target, Old Navy and Carters.
