will medicaid deny me if I have insurance??

I'm 31 weeks pregnant. I'm going to lose my insurance sometime around September 1st and my baby is due September 17th, so I won't have insurance anymore. I was wondering if they will tell me to apply after I lose it, or if I can apply now.

  • I would apply now and talk to someone in person and explain it to them..
Depnding on where you live, they beome more leinent than others..
would not hurt to try it though..I would go there.. =)

  • they will deny you now. apply after you lose it. It can be set to be retroactive if need be.

  • Can't you keep the insurance through the COBRA laws? Sure, you'd have to pay for it, but at least you'd be insured.
