Is there a prescription medication for the flu that is used to treat something else.

The doc gave my aunt a medication to treat the flu.....problem is, she don't have the flu. The pharmacy ask me and then told me that was what the medication was for.

  • Do you know the name of the drug? Sometimes drugs have different uses. For example, metformin is a pill for diabetics, it helps their body use the insulin they make more efficiently....however some women with PCOS are given metformin to help them with fertility.
