  • I have heavy periods and i use Tampax (or the Equate brand from walmart, works just as good) Super Plus and a regular pad as back up.

You've had a period for 5+ weeks? Have you been to a doctor? Epecially with all those symptoms, if you haven't, you should. It could be something serious.

  • Some tampon brands are now selling "Ultra" absorbency. I find it works well. And as the other poster said, five weeks seems like an awful long time to bleed, unless you've just given birth. Please take care of yourself!

  • I have horrible bad long periods too. (been to the dr. btw so I know why I do), anyway the new pads called "Infinity" from Always are very good. Expensive but work well. I always always have to use a pad & an extra super tampon though on my worst days. SInce i've been using the new Always pads with the tampon at night I havent had a big mess like I usually do. Good luck.

  • I like Instead cups, although it does get expensive.

Have you seen a doctor about this? You might want to consider having an endometrial ablation done.

  • I have super heavy periods after having my babies. Kotex super plus keep it all under control for me. I do have to change my tampon every 4 hours though or they'll leak. I've tried all brands of tampons and don't trust anything like i do Kotex.

  • Diva cup all the way.

I have a super heavy flow - can soak a super tampon in an hour. and the diva is perfect.
