What is your cure for a belly ache?

Poor lil Ellie is fussy and obviously in abdominal discomfort.

The grown man like gas she is passing is telling me it's her tummy.

  • I hold her facing out and sitting on my hip. I think that pressing on her tummy like that makes her feel a little better:-)

  • If it's gas, have you tried mylicon drops?
    Other tricks:
Lay her on her back and gently push on her tummy and rub it in a clockwise motion... up on the right, across above the belly button, down on the left, across under the belly button, etc.
Lay her on her back and bicyle her legs.
If she's on formula, consider switching to a different brand - some kids do better with a switch.
If she's breastfed, look at your diet and research which foods you try dropping to see if it helps. Some moms have to drop milk products, some find other foods to be the cause.

For general tummy upsets, Gripe Water usually helps.
