  • I don't know if this is the same thing, it is called an ovarian cyst torsion, so it may not be, anyway I found it by googling:

  • You know, I have never heard of this. BUT, as a person who does have cystic ovaries, I wonder if they have been there all along, just were never discovered. It may be that you just happened to get a test which revealed them. Please update us if you find out anything. Did her urologist say anything about it other then to follow up?

  • I have actually heard of this. my daughter was born with a teratoma, so we have experience. I dont know if it is the same thing your daughter has but here is a link.

  • it was hard to find a doctor that had any idea of what we were talking about, so we did a lot of follow up with our surgeon. i would have it checked, they can also do a blood test called AFP or alpha-feta protein to let you know if its an actual tumor or not. If it's not bothering your daughter you can have it checked on later to see if its grown or not. If its something you want checked on speak up and let your doctor know!
