Chicken noodle soup

Without a crock pot, is there a way I can easily cook the veggies so that they are tender, but not soggy?

  • If they are soggy you are cooking them too long.

  • When I make my chicken noodle soup, I usually saute the veggies in a skillet or my soup pot for a few minutes, until they are crisp-tender and then add the chicken, broth, etc. Good luck.

  • Thanks. I have only ever done it with a crock pot, but my crock pot broke. I have yet to get another one, but we are craving chicken noodle soup.
