  • There are the big three: CareerBuilder, Monster and HotJobs.

There are the meta sites, like Indeed and Simply Hired, that search the big boards for you; they also search smaller ones and have some positions that are posted only on company sites.

If you are looking in a large city, Craigslist has some genuine positions.

Less than half of the postions available are posted. You need to network to increase your chance of finding a job.

I do career and job search coaching. Feel free to contact me directly if you have any questions about resumes, cover letters, job search strategy & interview preparation.

  • It's hard to find legit jobs on Craigslist anymore. Try your local papers, Career Center, and the big 3 like mentioned above, Careerbuilder, Monster, and Hotjobs... Oh Kiji and Oodle also have job listings. http://freewebs.com/free2workathome is my own personal list of jobs

Also, if you have an employment office or jobservice, they should have a site listing jobs in your area.

  • The best thing to do is to just go out and look around. Most employees have their applications online but like that you come in.
